Power cuts

We have just got the electricity back afetr a cut at 9.20 this
morning. Seeboard say the ground zero for the cuts - the epicentre -
is a small, sleepy and apparently harmless hamlet called Hastingleigh.

If I discover that a uksa member has had a hand in this I shall do
such things - what they are I know not - but they shall be the terrors
of the earth.

Think yourself lucky Martin, you would not get any compensation for lost
food (fridge/freezer) until you had been off 18 hours. 10 hours isnt too
bad considering the nice weather !

Given Stephen's response, it seems Hastingleigh is totally to blame
(don't sh*t on your own doorstep, and all that). I reckon they were
doing a practise run for the next new moon, when it'll ONLY be located
AT Hastingleigh…

and 6pm) or the fact that the 9 hours was during the day?

I'm ****ed about the fact that I don't have a UPS and three times (in
5 cuts) lost some complex (well complex for me) work on the computer.

I'm ****ed at having about 8 clocks that need resetting after the
power goes down.

I'm ****ed that my new cooling fan - what bliss - won't bloody work
without juice.

I'm ****ed that 5 cuts appears to have buggered the tele connection
between the sitting room and the kitchen.

I'm ****ed that, after the third cut, the street lights came on in the
middle of the day.

And I'm totally ****ed that the sage of Hastingleigh got clean away
with it.

God, doesn't whining makes you feel better. uk.whinges - now there's a
group that could bring the internet to its knees.

With the cost of a basic UPS at under £60, it should really be
considered by all.
