Default ISS Problems

What needs to be replaced to fix the current problems they are having with
the air contaminants? I really think that if they set their mind(and money)
to it, this is an opportunity to get away from reliance on the shuttle.
They should be able to launch the equipment needed on some other type of
rocket, either Russian or American. But of course given NASA's current
track record, it would take them 3 years to figure it out. Thanks,

David

I believe the crux of the issue is not that the air is contaminated, but
that there are insufficient samples available to certify that it is not
contaminated. Read the presentations on NASA watch to catch the flavor. If
Pedro remains on orbit or if there are Soyuz used as cargo vessels then the
med-ops manifest issues are lessened.
