Default What's in this photo?

This doesn't have much to do with astronomy. It probably
should go in some discussion group dealing with arial photo
interpretation...

The Astronomy Picture of the Day for June 27 of this year:

is a photo of "SpaceShipOne" -- An experimental spacecraft
built by Burt Rutan and his company, Scaled Composites. On
the ground far below it are rows of what appear to be posts,
maybe 30 or 40 feet tall. You'll need to look at the large
image (3008 x 2000 pixels, 2,860 KB) to see them clearly.
What the heck are they?

Wind turbines.

Or cracks in the Earth's crust left from the last passage of P-X.

Windmills. On some of the nearer ones you can see the blades.
