NATIVE AMERICAN EDUCATORS & STUDENTS CALL STATION CREW

Native American educators and students will chat Friday
with the crew of the International Space Station (ISS)
Expedition 9, Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka and NASA
astronaut Mike Fincke.

The downlink is hosted by the United Tribes Technical
College, Bismarck, N.D. It starts at 12:15 p.m. EDT. It is
part of a series of events with the United Tribes
International Powwow and United Tribal Technical College that
includes classroom and community activities.

The call supports NASA's efforts to encourage students to
study and possibly pursue careers in science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics. It is an integral part of
NASA's Teaching from Space Program, which builds partnerships
with the education community to create unique learning
opportunities through the use of agency research and
educational technology.

The downlink airs live on the Web and on NASA TV available in
the continental U.S. on AMC-6, Transponder 9C, C-Band, at 72
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz.
Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
In Alaska and Hawaii, NASA TV is available on AMC-7,
Transponder 18C, C-Band, at 137 degrees west longitude. The
frequency is 4060.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio
