We can get people to the Moon in five years,
not the fifteen GWB proposes.

I thought I should know the names of all the X-prize people so I went
to look yours up. Alan Erskine that is quite a name to have I share
mine with Bob Petersen of publishing, that is HotRod and other car
magzines. The first thing almost any kid thinks of is a car paint or
something to add. What a funny thing to find his name there. I did
some design ideas for cars early on too. Thank You for telling me
where you are going. I mast say in all truthfulness I was already
planning on the asteroid belt if I got out. The moon is the first
place any one is likely to go.

If of course you have the time. I have of course all the time in the
world to plan and write.

His title does make me wonder if the sonic boom problem might
become a problem for the yet-to-be-defined surborbital tourist
trade. It might not be a problem now at Mojave, but the
National Air Races moved to Reno to escape population, for
example, but houses now ring part of the once unpopulated high
desert circuit so that the course has had to be reconfigured.

Varoom is a brand name of something only a dream for a few. For
christmas in the 1960s a boy might want a small gas powered engine to
mount on his bike. But those that had there hopes set on a gas engine
might get the Varoom. Just install to large D cell batteries and it
would go Varoom. Some kids may had wanted Varoom but nobody I knew
did. I think we have got a Varoom here. I believe the idea of
tourism, especial this version is nothing more than a Varoom.
