I wonder... Whatever problems Willie Mookie had, if the sociopathic
nature of some of the regulars here with the constant and incessant
flaming, taking flame wars across topics, didn't drive him out.

He comes and goes, and occasionally travels.

Sooner or later the usenet becomes boring especially now as we have had
a dysfunctional NASA space policy for almost four years running now.

Ares I alone is almost enough to drive anyone nuts.

Actually, I've considered putting you into the kill file.

Most of your posts are flames.

=========================================

OM's postings point to two explanations: 1) he's a mildly
autistic pre-teen -- see the movie Rain Man and then read
what he posts. Or, 2) he's not a person at all; but merely
an elaborated Eliza program which automatically posts
text to poison reasoned discourse.

I've looked at http://OnToMars.org. I added it to my
collection of sites to visit frequently. Thanks!

...I find it pretty funny that, after not ever having one bad thing to
say about you, you decide to resort to personal attacks. You really
disappoint me, Martha. I'd figured you'd be a bit more mature than
that.

Doesn't disappoint me; I've been expecting it for a while, given her
earlier posting history. At the time I killfiled her, my only regret was
that I'd miss her inevitable meltdown, unless someone replied to it and
quoted it so I could see it. Thanks for not disappointing me, OM.

We can only hope.

What's up this thread offers him no
encouragement to return.

Good.

I thought he was sci.space.policy's best visionary

People on acid have visions... and they are of no real value either.

Serious workers in all fields know
today's crazy idea may appear as tomorrow's breakthrough and will watch
for which one it might be.

Here's a hint... you can start the winnowing process by seeing which
"visionaries" are themselves rational people. An irrational person is
unlikely to produce a rational concept. And "crazy," despite what pop
culture might try to lead you to think, is not a good start on
science.

I used to get those. Good times, good times...

Ditto. By all means, knock yourself out.

Gee, OM, and here I assumed he was talking to me. One of us is being
