At this point, your "unique" input has turned it from a interesting
speculation on the US space program into "Springtime For Sanger"

Stolen (I'll supply my own umlaut)

They were running that movie when I was posting.
What it's even closer to is Blake Edwards' "SOB".
"We have all this footage, so what can we do with it?"
"Hitler Conquers Space?"
At least this new sci-fi twist removes the last reason not to have
multiple evil, hate-filled monkeys (EHFM) in it.
In the original version there was going to be a CPFM on a early unmanned
satellite.
But with those Nazis around, no patriotic, liberty-loving monkey (PLLM)
would be safe in LEO.
However, Nazis and evil monkeys go together like Pumpernickel bread and
Limburger cheese, as "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" showed us.
....maybe a dozen Nazi EHFMs parachuting into NYC after being dropped
from a Antipodal Bomber, intent on causing mayhem by crapping all over
Broadway show audiences and biting any Jewish actors or producers they
see with their nasty little antisemitic teeth.
That's just the sort of thing the Nazis would try, I can guarantee you.
In fact, test footage of this plot line for "Hitler Conquers Space" may
have already leaked out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chBmW5pW4OU

Clearly you haven't read much Allen Steele.

No, I was reading the Collier's articles. This was supposed to be a
story about what would of happened if that had actually been funded...

And so it remains.

, not
some sort of science fiction movie like "The Rocketeer".

And it isn't. It's a science fiction movie unlike "The Rocketeer."
Specifically, the "alternate history" branch of science fiction.

What started as a interesting concept for a DVD has bit-by-bit turned
into a B movie.

Given that you don't really seem to know much about it, it's
interesting that you see yourself as able to review it.

Par for the Flannery course, of course.
