I'd have thought a huge polly tunnel might have been more efficient. How do
you keep a big enough reflector pointing at the right place. The big problem with Mars is that It has no strong magnetic field so no radiation protection to speak of Low atmospheric pressures Very bad dust problem! I imagine the best place to be would be a few hundred feet underground.
