Default $1,575 ( 555 + 555 + 300 {Deposit} + 120 {fee} + 45 {fee} ).

Another warn and sunny day. A little breeze.

Downtown to the clinic this morning. The doctor, who had checked my blood, pronounced my health to be in much improved condition! I suspect he will never say "perfect health" because he wants me to keep coming back. For those of you who might have been wondering, he said my liver is functioning completely normally!

That's all very good news. All you need now is a better live-in storage unit and a health club membership.

Won't need a storage unit anymore once I find a decent apartment. Another apartment just opened up just down the street from where I am staying now. Nice place. A little more than a wanted to spend, but two bedrooms! Am thinking about it.

Another beautiful warm July day. These Portland TreMet busses all seem to now have the trouble of overheating on the hill out of Beaverton. As I mentioned, I had to walk the last leg one day when the bus stalled. Reminds me of my old Buick Regal. It always had overheating problems. It finally died when I was only a mile from getting home. I donated it to charity and took a big tax deduction! It was the fully equipped new car I bought for my wife soon after we were married. Paid cash.

Somebody is parking a beautiful Mercedes convertible sports car in my motel parking lot. Hard to believe anybody with such an expensive car would be staying at such a fleabag motel! Something doesn't smell right.

A perfect day. Sunny but not too hot.

Had my usual power lunch with Kim today in beautiful downtown Portland. When her carts were stolen she lost her diary, Buddhist Bible, and another book that was important to her. You might say she has now lost everything. But as for her lost gold, I will keep checking to see if there is any way to recover it.

This Tigard library is so relaxing. A beautiful place set in beautiful countryside.

Get the two bedroom and split the rent with Bert.

I am a ****ing genius!

Tip: Be sure to NOT put the water bill in Bert's name

I also owe money to a water company and an electric company. I will probably have to settle these up before they will connect me at a new apartment. Bert has nothing on me!

Was in the hospital for a week. They pumped me full of antibiotics and cleaned me up both inside and out. Am now staying in a transitional housing room in downtown Portland courtesy of the local hospitals for benefit of the homeless. Getting free medical care at a downtown clinic. Medicare is now picking up the tabs so no more huge hospital bills to hang over my head..

Kim is still on the street, but I am buying her lunch once a week at a downtown food circus. When she gets enough for a MAX train ticket, she is very mobile.

First time I've been to the library for many months. Computers mostly available. The store nearby were I used to buy snacks has closed. Guess the rumors that it was moving were true after all.

I see some of you regulars are still posting here. Hi Bert!

Software has changed. Library may be limiting me to an hour now. Can't use Portland library because I have the wrong county library card so am at Cedar Mills.

AA Splitting rent is the way to go. If that two bedroom was in Vagas I would be there. I think it would work out. I sold M&M Co. here in Easthampton so other then making sure my operation turns out OK I'm going west. I need the action, and the van will make it too. Rudy will stay at my daughter Sheri's house. You need to get back on your feet, and I know what you like to do.. Make big money only work 2 hours a day 6 day a week. Also write novels and invent stuff. O ya TreBert

So there you have it, AA. Bert is asking you if you want to go in half
on an apartment with him. What say you to his offer?

PS- He sold M&M so you know he's flush with cash. (Winkie face)

You can gamble anywhere, even on-line. The PNW (including Oregon) is saturated with native casinos that would be perfectly happy to take your hard earned loot in exchange for some minimal entertainment valve and those occasional bragging rights whenever you can walk out with more than you came in with.

Many people share a room nowadays because they have no choice. The rent is expensive, and their pay is low. If I have any roommate it would be Kim, but that's only wishful thinking. I found that living with anyone is hard, even when you're married to them. Being alone is complete freedom.

Bert. In case you failed to see it, allow me to translate what AA said.

He didn't just say NO to being your roommate, he said **** no.

Perhaps you should consider asking Brad Goth?

He's pretty stupid.

Brad has a family, I think. He lives on a nice secluded piece of property where he has plenty of room to work on boats. I've seen it from the Google Maps satellite pictures.

Nice and sunny again here in paradise.

The bus I wanted to transfer to was just pulling out when my bus was pulling into the transit center, so I walked the rest of the way to the library. Got sum good exercise out of it and time in the sun.

Look at the forecast for next Tuesday in Minneapolis. High 64, low 52! This is July!

So much for global warming!
