New Horizons

Since there's been so much talk about Sedna and UB313 latly, has there been
any mention of rerouting New Horizons so that it can visit at least one of
them?

No but New Hoirizons has a 20cm diffraction limited telescope. Part of
tghe mission is to look at the Kuiper belt.

It seems to me that it behooves us to check the (current) azimuths of the
whole lot of large KBO's - Pluto, Sedna UB313, Quaoar, EL61, and FY9 - to
see whether there are any serendipitous alignments that would allow New
Horizons to visit more than one, with minimal increases in expenditures of
money and transit time.
