It is so much fun matching the positions of the faster moving planets and especially Mercury with actual time lapse footage -

It is up to people to discover astronomy for the first time and see it with the same eyes that the first Sun centred astronomers saw things even if they missed the appreciation of the back and forth motions of Mercury and Venus.
