Default Observing Mars- True Story

This was sent to me, and has been verified by several individuals. No
wonder the idiots are committing suicide this week.:-\

Observing Mars- True Story

Hi all,

My neighbor related this experience. A couple nights ago, he was
grabbed by several excited people to come and see Mars. He works at
the Jewel on Randall Road in South Elgin. They were all excited saying
how big it looked.

"It's bigger than the moon!" they exclaimed. He thought it odd since
it was only around seven in the evening. By the time he got to the
front of the store and the parking lot a small group of people had
gathered pointing excitedly at the sky; and commenting about how
amazing Mars was and that it really is a big red planet. He them told
them they were looking at the setting sun and not Mars. Some believed
him.

I think we have some educational challenges ahead.

I'll secind that. A friend recently sent me a news article
(www.motionvisual.com) that claimed that on Aug 27 Mars will be "as large as
the full moon to the naked eye". Sheesh!
