Default ATK and NASA unveiled the new 5-segments SRB

--
ATK and NASA unveiled the new 5-segments SRB and the early data in the
NASA page say that it "generates a maximum of 3.6 million lbs of
thrust, 24 percent more power than one twin Shuttle solid rocket
booster":
--
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/co...es/09-053.html
--
that is the SAME of the 4+1 segments SRB test ATK and NASA performed
in 2003:
--
http://www.nasa.gov/centers/marshall...03/03-186.html
--
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSPXSjQ5b-U
--
but "3.6 million pounds of thrust" of both (4+1 and 5 segments) SRBs
are (still) just 9% more than a standard (3.3 Mlbf.) SRB and NOT "24
percent more"
--
if these are the real data, also the TRUE 5-segments SRB can't work,
as explained THREE years ago in this article:
--
http://www.gaetanomarano.it/articles/011srb5.html
--
and, as a consequence, "the Ares-1 can't fly" since, the 1st stage
SRB, adds "more mass, than thrust", as explained in this article:

I'm going to love watching the Ares-1 leap off the launch pad and
fly in the face of this pathetic idiot. Watch him weasel dance
when it does.

Idiot. Thrust is not the measure of "power" in a solid rocket motor,
total impulse is. And the 5-segments SRB has 24% more total impulse
than the shuttle booster. It is not the 9% max thrust increase is
not the total picture. Learn some rocket science you clueless
moron. The shuttle SRB is around 296 Mlbf-sec total impulse and the
5 segment is around 368. That is the 24%
