OK. Doesn't seem terribly efficient. How many shuttle's worth of fuel cells
will it take? For that matter, we could measure it in Apollo or Gemini fuel
cells as well.




Don't forget to add the heat generated by all that radar gear the thing
will have to carry to defend itself- that's probably at least a
Aegis-class cruiser's worth.
To get some idea of this thing's heat output, one might want to look at
the nuclear powered missile frigate Bainbridge from around the time
Orion was designed:
