beefier motors for SS2K?
Would it be possible to adopt more powerful servos on the SkySensor goto
computer by adding a power booster? Has anybody experimented this solution? Antonio Zanardo |

Hi Rod:
Thanks for answering. The question raised because if I try to reduce to a minimum the backlash between the worm and the wheel, the motors tend to slow down and even bind while slewing the scope at high speed. Beefier motors should, in my opinion, reduce the problem and that annoying wobbling sound emitted by the original motors at the points of higher friction. Regards. Has anybody experimented this solution? Hi: Haven't heard of anybody doing this...the motors included with the SS seem powerful enough for the installations I've heard of, including some larger dobs.
