It's May 25: Just Another Day, or Rendezvous with Doom?
As the fragments of the comet Schwassmann Wachmann brush past the Earth
today, will there be a major impact? Hold your breath, say your prayers, and pay up your life insurance for by the end of this day, those of us who survive will know! On a spiritual note, this is Ascension Day. It might be good to think of things spiritual for the next 24 hours as we ponder our fates. For those of you who have been my friends here in alt.astronomy, I want to say that it has been good knowing you. Double-A ' |

Indelibly yours, Paine http://www.savethechildren.org/ http://www.painellsworth.net Paine, Took that towel spool out with me tonight, but high cumulus clouds made it hard to even see Jupiter itself much less its moons. Will try on a clearer night. We seem to be getting our April showers late this year. Chance of rain again today is 70%. Looked for any harbinger meteors in the sky as the comet debris field approaches the Earth, but saw none. Nothing yet! http://groups.google.com/group/alt.a...18ac68a?hl=en& Double-A |
