Big Bang Just a Brane Bash?
String theory gives us membranes, or "branes". These branes can expand
to enormous sizes, universe-size. It is my understanding that all forces in string theory are fixed to the branes, except gravitational forces which can "eminate" from the brane. And when two branes (multiple universes) collide, they release energy. They say this could essentially the Big Bang Theory explanation? How would this work? How would the string theory explanation match up with the Big Bang Theory? |
