Heh. I just moved into new accomodation, with a share of a broadband
line. There's now 2.5GB of stuff to sort, and another GB or so queued...
and more to come... ah, well, at least it'll give me reading for the
next couple of years.

*whimper* past 10GB, likely tending to 12... ah, well, at least a fifth
of it is sorted. Time to investigate this DVD-R nonsense, I fear.

I'd say that Rusty has the "Most Valuable sci.space.history Contributor
Prize" (formerly known as "The Spencer Cup") wrapped up for this
year....does that make him the dark horse candidate against Henry's
black horse?

I got my DVD+/-RW drive at Office Max for $40 after rebates. I think it's a
Micro Advantage drive. Seems to work fine. DVD-R's and DVD+R's can be had
for $15 for a 25 pack when they're on sale. I think the price has certainly
dropped to the point that it's "reasonable" to own one.

Dial up? I'm barely keeping up with this, and I don't have no stinking
dial-up. I think by now, I've passed a dozen CD-RW's worth of files.
