*** The flickering light story is a load of hogwash. Drunks hitting
poles with mounted transformer after closing time are the real
culprits.

The Speed of Light, just like the speed of sound, is controlled by its
environment. We now that sounds propagates faster in solids and not
at all in the vacuum of space and at varying speeds in between.
So is the SOL controlled by the vectorial sum of the gravitation
forces
through which it travels. It is a fact that during the period of
Inflation
right after the BB, the SOL was exceeded by quite a margin. Then,
finally, when all the dust settled and all matter had coalesced from
the primordial soup, the SOL was established, but density fluctuation,
just like High and Low pressure areas influence the speed of sound,
do have a minute effect on the SOL. The difference between the data
of
150 years ago and today is simply the accuracy of the modern
instruments.
I know that doofus HVAC will have a **** fit, but then, consider the
source ... "Close Cover Before Striking" University.

booom, like an explosion. Einstein is wrong, blast the headlines: wait he was not.

what is the cause?

It is climate change, and I bet it will be linked to climate change by dicraprio or al Ghoul.

maybe it is time or space that is not constant.

The speed of light is an intrinsic part of our universe.

Photons propagate at this speed no matter their wavelength.

As to WHY this speed IS this speed, I would use the tautology

of 'it is what it is'. In our universe the sum of the angles in

a triangle is always 180 degrees, 2 + 2 will always equal 4, and

the speed of light in a vacuum is 299792 kilometers per hour.

Wouldn't it just make things a whole lot simpler to redefine the kilometer as 1/300000 of c?

HOW'D THAT WORK OUT?

The length of the kilometer was arbitrarily defined by man. Pi wasn't.

*** Just for doofi like you, AA, from my Lagoon to your dumpster,

The definition of the Meter and by extension, the KM:

http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/meter.html

If you still don't get it, ask HardBlow ... he knows everything.
