Asymmetry-Symmetry
On Feb 25, 2:19 pm, Graham Cooper wrote:
Asymmetry is a bitch! Hi Graham, Thanks for your question. So, Asymmetry is the opposite of symmetry. Symmetry is the opposite of asymmetry. Symmetry turns into asymmetry, and asymmetry turns into symmetry. In other words, symmetry-asymmetry are an action-reaction pair like all the other action-reaction pairs of our action-reaction universe. In regards to 'mass' which is the action-reaction pair of: Energy-matter. The statement: "Energy turns into matter, and matter turns into energy." Is balanced 'symmetry'. The opposite of that statement is to say unbalanced 'asymmetry': Energy turns into matter, without a corresponding matter turning into energy, therefore energy decreases and matter increases. For example: If we take a 'mass' that is: 50% energy and 50% matter then that mass is symmetrical. If we take 1% energy of that mass and turn it into matter without turning a corresponding matter into energy so that it is now unbalanced: 49% energy and 51% matter then that mass is asymmetrical. The following is symmetrical action: Energy turns into matter, and matter turns into energy. Matter turns into energy, and energy turns into matter. The following is asymmetrical reaction: Energy turns into matter, without corresponding matter turning into energy, therefore energy decreases and matter increases. Matter turns into energy, without corresponding energy turning into matter, therefore matter decreases and energy increases. -Josh |
