Last time I was using my telescope was when P73/C passed M57.
Everything set up, weather is perfect, camera focused, comet closing in,
30 min. to go..., naaahhh... Sun's back!, everything fades away... maybe
next time eh...

But yesterday I saw Capella! Looked a bit lonely up there.
Got some nice pictures of Venus though, never saw her rising before.

Tonight I can clearly make out Alpheratz, Mirach and Almaak.
Also the four brightest in Cassiopeia. And Altair! That's 5 altogether!
How about that! That gives me some +2 skies up here! At least for an hour
or so...

Rigged my camera to get some more, hopefully better, shots of Venus
tonight. There isn't one singel cloud in the entire sky except for a thin
strip, some 2 degrees, exactly where she and Sun is to rise... how about
that?

Light pollution? Dark adaption? You 'southerners' don't know what you are
'missing', always complaining about some lamp post or some such...

Clear and dark skies.
