I've been told before that it takes a professional to achieve this
with a drinker, but of, course, I have no direct experience

Well of course neither would he because it's made up.

Is that what an Hons degree in Physics with Astrophysics is equivalent
to these days. Sheesh - talk about dumbing down.

Stellar Atmospheres lecture 1
The Sun is bright and yellow. Problem class: Draw a nice picture of
the Sun.

Is that from still-life or from memory, Miss?

door of the Leicester Uni 16" scope
If he's 2'6" either you are the same height or that lock's not placed
very well.

It's a very big door

The observatory has a moat but no bridge.

Hey, there's an idea Martin... (who's thinking of building an
observatory "in time for Mars", he once said!)

Good security measure, me thinks. With aligators.

So he could learn to swim in the bath at home. Didn't need to go to
uni for his BSc. Bet the top up fees were less too.

No, Pete got the BSc. I got the MPhys. - the Medal for Playing Hairy
Yellow Sheep; the result sounds a bit like a sitar but it takes much
more skill, hence the four year course. It's not something you can
learn at home, due to the inherent dangers involved.

It's friday. It's been a long week.

Hoping to get at least 8 "B" shots back from the chemist soon, will advise...
What a cracker we had here last night !

Good luck!

I was showing Martin yesterday the Perseid shower photos me & Doug
took 2 years ago.

We saw at least a dozen fantastic meteors. And the photos were
great (lots of stars, little light pollution). Shame that not a
single meteor was caught on film. I still can't believe that...!

Think of which, it's that time of year again...
