25 years ago today: dreams die
A sad anniversary: 25 years ago today, on 29 July 1970, all hope of
restarting Saturn V production was finally abandoned. It had been looking unlikely for a couple of years, but that was the day when NASA gave up on it, and -- among other things -- sent out a "stop work" order on the 33ft-diameter hundred-ton space-station modules then being designed. -- "Think outside the box -- the box isn't our friend." | Henry Spencer -- George Herbert | |

Time passes slowly in Canada ....When you look at how Henry has aged "gracefully", there may be more truth to that statement than most people realize. ....FYI, Herb - the only reason you're first for the shirt is that *my* post, which was composed 20 minutes before yours, failed to reach the newsservers because the power went out due to thunderstorms in the area killing the power in my complex. Ergo, an act of God/Yahweh/Roddenberry was in your favor this time. Now, as penance, go sue Maxson and be done with him.
