Default 25 years ago today: dreams die

A sad anniversary: 25 years ago today, on 29 July 1970, all hope of
restarting Saturn V production was finally abandoned. It had been looking
unlikely for a couple of years, but that was the day when NASA gave up on
it, and -- among other things -- sent out a "stop work" order on the
33ft-diameter hundred-ton space-station modules then being designed.

Time dilation - Henry's brain's moving at a much higher fraction of c,
as it's apparently only 1995 where he is . . . ;-)

....When you look at how Henry has aged "gracefully", there may be more
truth to that statement than most people realize.

....FYI, Herb - the only reason you're first for the shirt is that *my*
post, which was composed 20 minutes before yours, failed to reach the
newsservers because the power went out due to thunderstorms in the
area killing the power in my complex. Ergo, an act of
God/Yahweh/Roddenberry was in your favor this time.

Now, as penance, go sue Maxson and be done with him.

....Sounds more like a higher *friction* of c.

I must have better sci.space.* karma working on my favor today . . .
You know it's because you're not helping over in .shuttle with the
troll-whacking.

N'ah, it's more fun to point out how much of a crank he is. Besides,
as Robert Heinlein put it (in his guise as Woodrow Wilson Smith a/k/a
Lazarus Long), "Time wounds all heels." :-)
