FAA AST issued a launch license covering manned suborbital flights
of Scaled Composites' SpaceShip One, as of the first of April.

And Scaled has now used that license - SS1 flew this morning.
Early reports are 105,000 feet altitude and a 35 second motor
burn time, and back on the ground safely.

According to Space.com, they hit Mach 2 this time.
