Greetings strangers. My first image in quite awhile. I don't have much
experience imaging Saturn. This is one of my better Saturn images anyway.
I'm not sure about the rest of the US, but conditions here in Texas have
been down right awful throughout the winter and early spring. Saturn was a
pretty dim on my computer screen during capture. I'd like to have shot at
30 fps, but my 8 inch scope just wasn't up to it. Shooting at an exposure
of 1/15th and 15fps gave me a bright enough target though. I did have to
image at 100% gain.

Regards,
Joel

Hey Joel, welcome back. Awesome shot of Saturn! Very sharp. I haven't
been able to get the cassini division at all with my bad seeing. You
should try to get the Titan shadow transit next week. For me it's been
cloudy except for one time and then it was quite swimmy.

How many frames did you stack?

Thanks Adriano. I stacked 1100 frames out of 3500. I might try
reprocessing with about half that number of frames to see what it gives me.
Thanks for the heads up on the transit. Hopefully seeing conditions here
will continue to improve.

Regards,
Joel

Very nice image Joel. I really have to try and get my own image of the
current sight of the rings.
