True, but the primary purpose of Apollo was the beat Soviet Russia to put a man on the Moon, once that had been achieved NASA had no real impetus to go on to Mars, and still doesn't, besides remember by the time of Apollo 15 Americans I read were complaining that repeats of 'I love Lucy' were being replaced by coverage of the mission. Ideas 'touted' isn't plans for the next step, as ideas and talk are cheap compared to a planned strategy. -- Christopher |
