The solar radiation /orbital shadow boundary pivots off the
Equator, that is why you have basically a constant symmetry between
daylight and darkness over the course of an annual orbit at the
Equator.

Instruct those present at the star party that at the Equinox the
solar radiation/orbital shadow boundary splits the polar axis rather
than the usual false description based on the pseudo-dynamic of
variations in axial tilt by which you normally explain solstices and
equinoxes -

Divorced from the solstices, the Equinoxes are a truly global
astronomical event (solstices are hemispherical in nature) for many
enjoyable reasons. The Wikipedia image is the only one I know of that
accurately shows the latitudinal change in the solar radiation/orbital
shadow boundary ,at least how it pivots off the Equator and as it
applies to the Equinox -
