Whew! That was close!

True, an earth-shattering catastrophe didn't happen on FCriday
and the world didn't end.

But don't count your chickens before they're hatched, as one
cranky poultry farmer once said (after quite a few beers).

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Hell, asteroids with enough wallop to bury entire states soar
past us every once in a while and, in fact, one of substantial
size just paid a visit to our neighborhood -- between earth and
the moon -- over the past few days.

If it had struck earth in a populated area, the poor souls would've
been long dead before NASA and the astronomists had a chance
to warn us that it was coming.

You see, concerning the latest asteroid that migh've devastated
parts (if not all) of the earth, the experts didn't know it was
coming
until a few days AFTER it had sailed past.

The bottom line is that all seems to have ended well on Dec. 21,
2012.

But as for saying a world-wide cataclysm could never happen,
don't be so naive.

As we've said before and we'll say again:

IF IT HAPPENED BEFORE (AND (INDEED IT DID),
IT CERTAINLY CAN HAPPEN AGAIN.
