Well, it does mean that I won't be able to be with my family and friends,
and learn and think, anymore, and that kind of saddens me. I think that
saddens most people, really, and is a good reason to make the most of
what limited time there is.

Think of it as the flip side of Pascal's Wager, if you like: If I'm wrong,
and there is some kind of thoughtful existence after death, then I'm no
worse off, but if there isn't, at least I did what I could in my allotted
span on earth.
