Toppled weather satellite now ready to go
Okay, it took a while to fix it up after they tried to move it around
with the bolts that held it to its service platform removed, but the SOB is supposed to lift off on Wednesday: http://spaceflightnow.com/delta/d338/090201preview.html Can you imagine being on of the ground crew when that thing toppled onto the floor? Two things must have simultaneously gone though their minds: 1.) "This didn't really happen... it's a bad dream... this is like the time I showed up in high school debate class with that eel crawling around inside of my pants." .....and... seconds later: 2.) "We...are... SO completely ****ED... Oh, God... are we ****ED! They are going to tear our ****ing heads off over this... who was responsible for this? It sure as hell wasn't me, was it? It was.......George... that was who responsible for this, wasn't it? YES... no one likes George... this was all GEORGE's fault, wasn't it? YES! That's THE ****ING KEY! George, you ****er...you had this coming for a mighty long time, didn't you? You worthless ****ing *******!" :-) Pat |
