You are such strange people.

The system which ties the 24 hour AM/PM cycle to the Lat/Long system
of our planet is based on the average length of time of rotations
across 4 orbital circuits with a minor discontinuity that takes a lot
of explaining.Not a single individual has shown the slightest interest
in how all the pieces fit together,including the historical
development or the technical issues.The way it works out is
fascinating and no less so in explaining why the natural noon cycles
vary.

The curiosity achievement is presently an engineering one and unless
this issues is resolved decisively,that is all it will remain.
