Default AURORA WATCH: Geomagnetic activity could increase on April 4th

AURORA WATCH: Geomagnetic activity has been
low for more than a week, but it could increase on April 4th
when a solar wind stream is expected to blow past Earth.
High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

AURORA WATCH: Conditions are favorable for a
mild geomagnetic storm tonight, so high-latitude sky
watchers should be alert for auroras. The impending
storm is a result of two factors (1) Earth is entering a solar
wind stream and (2) the interplanetary magnetic field
near Earth is pointing south.
