Liberals *FURIOUS* About Singing 'Battle Hymn Of The Republic'!
A decade or so ago I was on a hunting and fishing trip in the Deep South, at
a camp fire sing along, I started to sing the Battle Hymn of the Republican, I was asked to leave and all my money for that trip was refunded to me. Go figure. Another time I was at a Republican Party rally in the south, when I got separated from my wife, I tried to call her over the noise of the crowd, but to no avail. So I started to sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic, in the hope that as it was not part of the background noise my wife would hear it and thus know it was me and where to find it. I was thrown out of that political rally as was my wife and we were told in no uncertain terms that was not a song you sang in public anywhere in the south. *There are no Enemies in Science just Anomalies* |

You should've already known that many southerners still carry a grudge over losing slavery....or didn't you know what the song was about? |
