I doubt that this comes as much of a surprise to anyone. This is an incredibly complex project.

I also doubt that the project would be scrapped because of all the funds already invested.

That may be, but there are some extremists on the political right who advocate doing exactly that.

You mean the unnelected Pro-Massacre, NRA Party? I hear they're planning to hold a "science fair" in every school. It's to be called: "Cowards and guns make great levelers."

Everybody ends up affected by the gravity of the situation. Some can even get up from the floor after the "show stopper" without emergency, medical attention.

The Pro-Death NRA has reinvented the Cold War "Duck and Cover" for corrupt commercial gain. Do you suppose the NRA is cough offshore funded by Post Soviet, Martial Pootin?

Shouldn't we be told?

The amounts of money wasted by the left on ill-conceived "social engineering" projects could build 1000 Webbs.

I will repeat for your benefit because everything comes down to it in the end:

Everything has to be paid for. One way or another.

The distribution of public funds is at the whim of those in power. Whether by fascist, communist or religious dictators, or by lesser mortals, the results are always the same. The only thing which changes is the exact distribution of a nation's wealth. Regardless of political spectrum public services are under constant strain as they try to cope with increasing demand on dwindling resources.
