34F at 9:00 AM PST here in the Silicon Stumpage. Calm. Cloudy. Not
raining at the moment, but there have been showers. Expected high 43F. Humidity 96%. Forecast calls for partly cloudy cool days through Friday with freezing temperatures at night. No snow in the forecast for Christmas. One of the older Starbucks gals brought me a free hot coffee sample first thing. That sure tasted good. Enquired about free birthday drinks, as my birthday's coming up, but no such policy at Starbucks. Double-A |

Kim is not as young as Jeff makes her out to be when I refers to her as my "granddaughter. She already has an 18 year old son. But she just looks young for her age, and what's wrong with that? Double·A, have you met Kim's 18 year old son ?

Personally, I feel it'd be a serious mistake to hook up with a woman ( any woman )... I don't know about you. Kim is more than you ( Double·A ) can afford, I bet. Have you met her 18 year old son ? |

29F here at Tannesbourne at 10:00 AM PST. Low was 26F. Expected high
is 42F. Wind NW at 3 mph. Foggy. Humidity 100%. Should be continued nice but through Christmas, but cold, frosty nights. The Oregon State Beavers got their asses whupped by the BYU Cougars in the MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas last night 44-20. Now I'm glad I didn't get to watch the game. The University of Oregon Ducks will play in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, facing the Ohio State Buckeyes. Let's hope they can put on a better show. Sophia wished me a happy birthday first thing this morning, gave me two free Caramel Brulee Latte samples, and complimented me on my shirt! http://www.starbucks.com/retail/nutr...8ccf5137323%7D I'm dressed a little more warmly now so I should finally be ready for any cold weather that lies ahead. Still awaiting Bert's return. He is all right, but off line for technical reasons. Double-A |

Double-A I thought you hung out at the food court. Hi Twittering! I hang out at the Safeway food court which is right next to their in store Starbucks kiosk. A Merry Christmas to you, Twittering, and may God bless you! 32F here in greater Hillsboro at 11:30 AM PST on Christmas Eve. Low was 25F. Expected high 43F. The sun is out! No wind. Foggy earlier. Humidity 86%. 52F in my locker. Santa came early today as I walked into the bottle return room and found a cart full of empty beer bottles! Machine wouldn't take them. Kim was there too and tried it, but no luck. So I flagged down a courtesy clerk and got her to do a manual count for me. $4.35! Yesterday was fun. It was my birthday and a couple people bought Starbucks drinks, including one anonymous female admirer! Sophia gave me sample lattes. Kim gave me some Korean style food, and I bought a big tray of "buffalo wing" style chicken and got it heated by the deli, then took it out to Kim's table and we enjoyed it! Life is great! Isn't it? And in the evening I bought a 24 oz "tall boy" can of Steel Reserve high gravity beer for my birthday drink (even though HVAC will probably say this confirms my alcoholism). The store is very busy today as everyone bustles about making their last minute shopping purchases before Christmas. The store will be closed tomorrow so I won't be able to communicate. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, or a merry whatever the heck else you celebrate this time of year! Double-A |

37F at 9:45 AM PST here west of Portland. Very windy with wind east
12 mph but with much higher gusts. Sunny and clear skies! Low was 27F. Expected high 42F. Humidity 58%. Rain has suddenly appeared in the forecast for tomorrow (or will it be snow?) This is probably only because for the first day I left my umbrella in my locker, so it will probablt start tonight before I can get back up there! Double-A |

Best Christmas Ever!
Imagine a table on a deserted sidewalk in front of a closed store on a
sunny but crispy and slightly breezy Christmas afternoon. Two homeless people there enjoying Christmas dinner as car after car pass by, disappointed that the Safeway isn't open. That was Kim and I yesterday enjoying the holiday! I had bought a big tray of buffalo wing chicken the night before, and Kim took it over to the little store by the Chevron station and heated it up. That chicken tasted mighty good on the cold afternoon! We also had burritos, Christmas cookies, potato salad, and some hot green jalapeno peppers that Kim ate straight up! Fro 12 noon until 3:30 PM we talked of many things. We both agreed that this was the best Christmas ever! Well, no stuffiness, no expectations, no annoying relatives around who you don't like, no obligation to bring presents, no table manners to mind, no hostess to compliment, no stingy portions, and no thoughts of somewhere else you'd rather be! It was definitely a Christmas dinner I will never forget! As a final kicker, I bought a can of Schlitz high gravity beer (tall boy) that I could drink legally back at my locker. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! Double-A |
