Default New Spirit photo

Anyone yet seen the latest hi-res colour photo from the Spirit lander.

Absolutely fantastic!

If you look closely at the horizon, there are some distant hills, seemingly
obscured by dust/haze. I wonder if these are parts of the rim of the Gusev
crater??

Thoughts? Cheers Stupot.

Hi there Stuart. You posted:

It is possible, as some parts of the rim of Gusev are as much as 2.5
kilometers (8,200 ft.) above some segments of the central floor of the crater.
However, there are some other low hills (and the rims of a few craters)
visible on the MGS images between the rim and the Spirit landing site, so a
few of them may be getting in the way. Clear skies to you.
