Optics on Deep Impact misfigured in manner reminiscent of Hubble.

Why isn't there an Ozone Hole at the NORTH Pole?

Bob

Congratulations! Your wish has come true! You'll be fascinated to know
that there is actually an ozone depleted area in the northern
hemisphere which equates to an aproximate 10% increase in ultra violet
radiation exposure at my present latitude of 55N. This is expected to
result in increased cancers where bare skin is exposed to sunshine in
the hours around midday local time. It is also expcted that with
present levels of CFCs that it will take at least 50 years for the
northern ozone "hole" to heal to normal levels. Research is proving
that other gases and unfortunate combinations of gasses are still
having a deleterious effect on ozone levels due to amospheric
temperature gradients which favour ozone depletion despite the
continuous equatorial production of ozone.
I am very roughly quoting from the Danish national radio service. I
know nothing of the actual mechanisms involved. Merely offering this
information as a parrot might (if only he/she knew how to translate
from one foreign language to another) and still remember what he/she
heard in the first place.
If it is of any comfort I have yet to meet any blind sheep. But this
isn't sheep country anyway.

Just curious: Did you mean "salivation" under American communism? ;^)
