It is all about perspective, to which you have many times admitted that you simply don't understand. Untilted Earth indeed !,your community is so unimaginatively dull that the cause of the polar day/night cycle is completely ignored as it requires nothing other than a brief interpretation of the images of Uranus to see the polar coordinates turn through the circle of illumination at the equinox.Clearly there is a disorder going on here, the most uninterested person from the wider population could understand that the daily turning Earth causes the day/night cycle as they turn in a circle to the central Sun and given time, they could probably understand that the polar coordinates turn in a circle to the central Sun as a component of the orbital behavior of a planet instead of 'tilt' towards and away from the Sun that you guys like so much. http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/planetary/u...e/science2.jpg I see you keep your mouth shut with the 'new' story of idealized rotation once in 24 hours back in the year 1820 but this is not due to a lack of decency or integrity,it is the choice you allows yourselves to mix fiction with fact that destroys the natural human ability to interpret and enjoy what contemporary imaging can do. |

Equinox March 2013
An 'untilted' Earth is the same as an Earth with zero inclination in
which case the Earth's climate would be equatorial insofar as there would be little or no change in conditions. What would remain the same regardless of inclination are the variations in the natural noon cycles arising from the orbital component of the Earth's motion working in tandem with daily rotation,in this case, the equation of time as it refers the 1461 natural noon cycles to the 1461 twenty four hour AM/PM cycles would remain the same. Of course, the empiricists imagine 1465 rotations in 1461 days hence the information above will be lost on them and especially the climate spectrum arising from a correct treatment of observations.Again, how astronomy ended up in the hands of those who absolutely detest astronomical causes and effects while having the most vile side of human nature that loves nothing new or worthwhile. |

Do you know the difference between leaning forward and leaning sideways, dull unimaginative anonymous rude thug? Funny, funny, funny but then again you are no better or worse than the next. Inclination is intrinsic to a planet and fixed regardless of where a planet is in its orbital cycle, the Earth has a 23 1/2 degree rotational inclination off the ecliptic axis and that is it.If you can't interpret the imaging of Uranus as it is carried around in a circle by the separate orbital behavior of the planet from direct imaging then you are perhaps better off in the relativity forum where you can pretend you are a lord,a gorilla or something more suited to your nature. http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/planetary/u...e/science2.jpg Leaning forward and leaning sideways indeed !,what I would give to encounter a genuine astronomer who realizes why axial precession needs to be modified by correctly interpreting those set of images above. |

Zero inclination to the Sun at the Equinox is about the same standard as varying the angle of the circle of illumination,it is not just substandard,it is pretty much subhuman. You are a mathematician and are excused. Watching sci.astro.amateur descend into chaos is quite a sight, all the imaging power of today is worthless without able interpreters and if you for one minute imagine zero inclination to the Sun at Equinox,I suggest you take up something more suited to your talents, truly !. |
