Anyone up to counting the stars?
Finally a good night! Limiting magnitude was only down about half a magnitude. Best in ages. 14" LX200R @ f/10, L=6x5' RGB=3x5' all binned 2x2, STL-11000XM, Paramount ME Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

One of my favorite clusters. I remember John Gleason imaged this back in
the early 80's on film with a C-14 and it made a page in S&T. There was a debate whether it was a open or a globular cluster. With your image here it looks like both. That's crowded indeed. In spite of all the stars the cluster stands out
well. Stefan "Rick Johnson" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Anyone up to counting the stars? Finally a good night! Limiting magnitude was only down about half a magnitude.
