Soyuz station flights
Okay.
http://www.spacetoday.net/Summary/2078 says there'll be two tourists, going on Soyuz, one next year and one in '05. It's also worth noting that the Russians reached an agreement to fly a Malaysian cosmonaut in 2005; http://www.spacetoday.net/Summary/1837 A couple of idle thoughts - I'd assume the Malaysian would fly as a "tourist" - third seat - plus the taxi crew; is it plausible the Russians would be willing to have him as crew to free up another $20m slot? 2004 April Two-man ISS rotation (Exp. 9 up) & ESA astro 2004 Oct. Two-man taxi plus US tourist 2005 April Two-man taxi plus US tourist (?) 2005 Oct. Two-man taxi plus Malaysian (?) 2006 Early Two-man taxi plus ... 2006 Late Two-man taxi plus ... 2007 Early Two-man taxi plus ... 2007 Late Two-man taxi plus ... The article comments they're selling two seats in 2006-7, which fills up the additional slots - are these going to be ESA? I assume someone's already down to fill them... -- -Andrew Gray |
