Telescope Building Question
Hello from Winnipeg, Canada.
Can anyone tell me what kind of paint I might use to paint ABS pipe/tubing? That's that sometimes-black plastic pipe used for plumbing in the construction of homes. Thank you. Jim |

Jim I was in a hobby shop about a year ago, and noticed that they had some paints that were made for special plastics, possibly including ABS and PVC (?). Some may apply to what you seek. I have also seen special surface activators for difficult surfaces like plastics such as melamine or nylon. Telescope Building Question
Goto your local auto store (autozone, or walmart) and pickup
duplicolor. Sand with 100 lightly then 150, then use the duplicolor primer liberally.. Then choose the paint color of your choice. If you get real snazzy there is also an overcoat (clear) that will preserve the paint for decades. I use this same process on large Plastic Rockets that I build.
