Default Another Stupid Question

You know, y'all can laugh at me all day long. I don't give a hoot.

But tell me WHY is it, that when the news portrays some mission out in space,
the actual space SHIP is on TV?!?

What - they have TV cameras and a television crew out there to video tape the
thing?

How can we see the Spaceship Qwerty-prise on TV when all the people in space
are supposed to be IN the spaceship??

That's good, because your name alone invites laughter.

Please site which missions you are refering to. In many cases animation is
used to show ships, and is stated as such.

There are cameras in space, some of which could be used if desired, but most
actual ship footage in from planes during liftoff. The rest is computer
animation. Of course the space station and shuttles all have cameras aboard,
not that you really want to learn or be presented with any facts to spoil
your conspiracy theories.

Go away troll, there is no Quertyprise, and it looks like your confusing
movies with real life now.

When announcing 2003 QQ47, the news show I was watching
played what appeared to be artist's conception of the NEAR probe
approaching Eros. If there was a label describing what the image
actually was, it was too small and/or brief for me to catch. It seems to
me entertainment value is a higher priority than accuracy for TV news.

See, now that's a fine example of the stupidity I'm talking about.

What FACTS do you have that l have a conspiracy theory?

The FACT that I'm asking questions? I think you have conspiracy and curiosity
confused with your ass.

My dear excellent artist, lover of life and all nations (I appreciate that)...

I am pretty good at discerning the difference between artist renditions,
computer animation, and the real thing. But my memory fails me, and I can't
remember what mission this was, nor can I remember the news report. But I
think it was some mission to the moon.

The way the news showed it, CBS sent up a mission of free-floating
astro-reporters and they filmed the spaceship in action.

You are cetainly the expert on how to appear stupid.

What FACTS do you have that l have a conspiracy theory?

The ones you provide, in short the way you word your so called questions.
You do not ask questions, you state them as "Facts", worded in question
form.
You are nothing more than a troll, looking for a confrontation.

The FACT that I'm asking questions? I think you have conspiracy and

curiosity
confused with your ass.

You have not asked a single question yet.

Well, if you are remembering a moon mission then you are recalling something
from several decades ago. Memory can play tricks after such a long time.

However, there were several times during the Apollo missions when one
spacecraft was visible from another. Such as when the LEM was attaching
itself to the Command Module. Perhaps you are thinking of that.

The last 'mission to the moon' was Lunar Prospector in Jan 1998:

The next one, Smart-1, has been delayed:

I must recommend using Google as a research tool; http:\\www.google.com This
will help you get the basic facts and science right first, and help you
refine the types of questions you are asking in here.

The way the news showed it, CBS sent up a mission of free-floating

Unlikely.

I used to think that there was no truly stupid question but this message
has shown me wrong. Either that or the questioner thinks we are stupid.
I must be since I'm responding to this idiot.
