Default Bringing the Yuri Gagarin Statue to Manchester

Hi,

A new on-line campaign was launched on 3rd October 2011 to make
Manchester (UK) the permanent home for the statue of the world's first
spaceman, Yuri Gagarin. The statue from Russia was unveiled in London
in July this year by Gagarin's daughter Elena. See this story on BBC
news website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-
manchester-15150098). Planning restrictions require that the statue is
relocated in 2012.

Manchester was the only place outside London that Gagarin visited
during his 5 days in Britain from 11th July 1961.

Many from round the world have signed in support of this campaign. If
you would like to join them, please add your name and email address
takes less than 30 seconds here (http://astrotalkuk.org/bring-the-
gagarin-statue-to-manchester-petition/).

Thanks for your time to read this.
