Default Green Kat Hand Telescope Help

Hi all,
I have a Green Kat Hand Telescope, 25x30mm, made in Japan. There is no
more info available. I would like to know how much is a normal market
price for this telescope? I got it as a gift a long time ago. Any help
would be highly appreciated.

Also can someone provide me with tips to use a hand telescope properly?
I am not a telescope person. When I try to use this telescope, even a
little movement of my hand makes me lose the subject (moon, for
example)... Is it because of my not knowing the way to use telescope or
is it something wrong with this telescope?

Thanx a lot!

Ben

Hi Ben,

25x is way too much magnification for a hand-held scope. And at 30mm
aperture, it is pushing it. It sounds like what you have is more of a toy
than a real scope.

If you want help picking or learning to use a scope, check at
http://skyandtelescope.com/resources/organizations/ to find a local astro
club. Go to a public night and you will get all the help you need.
