Default More comet 17P - periodicity in brightness observations.

I notice in http://www.mauve.plus.com/bright.gif (magnitude versus days
after october 1) which is a smoothed graph of
http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/icq/CometMags.html#0017P an interesting possible
periodicity at around 4 days.

Was the rotation period ever known?
