Default 'Elektron' prospects...

So..

How long will the current limping 'Elektron' last?

Can one broken unit on board be repaired?

Are there ANY new units on the ground?

On or about Thu, 02 Sep 2004 20:30:18 GMT, Jim Oberg made the sensational claim that:

How long did it last on mir ?

Yes. And there have already been many repairs and diagnostics done on Alpha's
elektron unit, uncluding one where the unit was almost completely taken apart.
Most of the problems seem tolated to formation of bubbles.

Are there ANY new units on the ground?

Probably a backup unit used to perform tests and ensure any spare parts being
sent up there actually fit :-)
