Ring Galaxy PGC 53126 and More Reprocessed
I've received several emails saying green is too weak. After looking I have to agree I somehow pushed weak red and blue too much. I reran eXcalibrator and got a different result with less push for red and green. How the same files give different results I don't know but apparently I did something wrong and didn't include the files I thought I had. Here are the revised files with better color balance. Still pushing red and blue as hard as I had to has likely led to some noise issues with the color. It will have to do for this year.

Rick,
I first looked at the crop of the ring galaxy and thought "that's a nice one", but the full field is even more spectacular. That's an amazing variety of galaxies you could squeeze into the field of view. Stefan |
