Bright Supernova near maximum in Canes Venatici

Glad to see someone is getting clear skies. Particularly impressive, as you say, seeing as you are so far north. Selsey's had a bad sky run. Come to think of it, ever since Andrea Tasselli suggested keeping a sky conditions log! Never look a gift horse in the mouth I guess. Thanks Pete, It is clear again tonight so I am trying for a spectrum. BTW did you spot the "deliberate mistake". sn2005cf is in fact in Libra, which explains why the telescope was pointing almost at rooftop level. At least the Skysensor knew where it was supposed to be. I blame supernovae.net who got it wrong. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it ;-) Robin |
