I mostly lurk in here, but I had to pass this on.
Another friend, outside of all this, had brought my attention to 'Google
Earth,' and I spent a couple evenings after downloading it looking for
places I had been stationed, other places of interest, etc.

I actually found the Fosters Freeze. I dont know how accurate the marker
is, and im sure the picture is at least 2 yrs old, but after reading
Starlords postings, I at least got a 'sattelites view' of the famous corner.

It's a wonder the FF owner doesn't try to charge them a fee for using his
airspace! I'd lay odds he doesn't know it.

For those who have looked at the photos, the one from that other SAA'er who
took a shot standing just east of the 2nd driveway, you can see how wide the
sidewalk is. The FF sign is where the public pay phones are and I use the
10ft of sidewalk starting from the edge of the curb. So there is lots of
room for people to pass on by.

The one time he was so hot to get rid of me, he was complaining that if
someone missed the turn and drove up on the sidewalk and hit me, I'd sue
him. I looked at him and asked if he was joking? After all the Drive should
have insurance and I'd collet from them. ( do days later a car DID run up
and hit the base of his sign, but in early afternoon! )

He never did get that court order to bar me from the Public Sidewalk! ;}
It's been a fun time.
