In my own way I have followed the way of John Dobson and I have enjoyed
doing so too.

It would kind of defeat the purpose of being a sidewalk astronomer if
Starlord setup on the darkest corner of Rosamond where no passersby could
see him. Actually, on the darkest corner there might not even be a
passerby.

Maybe even a robber of the gas station might stop and have a peek before
bolting!!

Well, now that makes sense! I assume you have to suffer hot humid

evenings like we do down here. It would be nice to have a supply of cool
refreshing snacks nearby!

Hard to tell from the night picture with all those lights, and the Chevron
sign in the background. Sure looks like a gas station. ;-)

I've always enjoyed reading your posts during the time I've been lurking
here (a year or two), so it's good to finally see where the action happens.

Keep up the good work, and clear skies to you.

Coincidentally i passed through Rosamond last weekend on my way north. I =
posted a picture in alt.binaries.pictures.astro as a follow-up message =
to Starlord's. I was there about 9am before the Fosters Freeze was open.
